The calculator is programmed with the Gregorian calendar rules. It automatically recognizes leap years (like 2024 or 2028) and ensures that adding a year to February 29th results in a valid date (February 28th of the following year).
Since February does not have 31 days, the calculator will "snap" to the last day of the target month. In this case, it would return February 28th (or 29th in a leap year).
